Alesea’s Angels Benefit Breakfast

June 24, 2011 By eastwickpress

Alesea’s Angels, a community based group, is hosting an All You Can Eat Benefit Breakfast on Sunday, June 26, from 8 to 11 am at the Berlin Fire House. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction. Breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, juice and coffee. The cost for adults is $8, $5 for children 12 and under and $25 for families (two adults and children under 12).
Alesea is a bright, caring and beautiful eight year old girl who was recently diagnosed with a tumor on her optic nerve. She is the daughter of Aaron and Jennifer Phillips, lives in Berlin, attends the Berlin Elementary School and is in third grade.
Alesea recently spent two weeks in Albany Medical Center for surgery and is now undergoing radiation treatments. She goes to AMC five days a week for these treatments. In addition to these treatments, she has to take several medications because of the effect on her pituitary and adrenal glands. She is also struggling with some vision deficits.
Alesea’s mom has had to take a leave of absence in order to care for her and to drive to treatments and doctor’s appointments. As you can imagine, this has taken a considerable financial and emotional toll on the family.
All of the proceeds raised by  this benefit breakfast will be given to Alesea’s family to help cover expenses.
If you would like to make a donation, purchase advance tickets or have any questions, please call Tammy Whitman at 518-733-6507.
