Flag Day Ceremonies In Hoosick Falls

Another Flag Day ceremony was held this year at the American Legion, Hoosick Post 40 in Hoosick Falls on June 14, under the direction of Post Commander, Walter C Zwinge. He was valuably assisted by Terri Burdick who, with the help of the Girl Scouts, related the History of the American Flag. Bill Gaillard, Hoosick Falls Community Band leader, was there with the entire band. Speakers were Commander Zwinge, Terri Burdick and Hoosick Town Supervisor, Keith Cipperly. Approximately 250 People attended the event.
This event will be hosted by the Post again next year. Free refreshments were served after the event.
