Mary D. Mango

Hoosick – Mary Deborah Mango, 54, of Breese Hollow Road, Hoosick, NY, died peacefuly at her residence on Friday, June 3, 2011, under the care of Community Hospice of Rensselaer County.
Born May 25, 1957, in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of Anthony J. and Clarita M. Davis Mango Sr. of Poestenkill, NY. A 1976 graduate of Averill Park High School, Mary was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was first employed in the dietary department of the Villa Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Albany, NY. At the time of her death, she was employed as a senior care giver for both Home Instead of Albany and At Home Senior Care of Bennington, VT. Mary loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews, was a NY Giants fan,  loved social gatherings, traveling, her cats and especially giving care to the seniors she served. She volunteered for the Military Mom’s and the Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s. Mary loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a bright shining star to all who met her.
Survivors, besides her parents, include siblings, Anthony J. Mango Jr. and wife Donna of Poestenkill, Lawrence J. and wife Lynne Mango of Hoosick Falls and Judith A. Banks of Poestenkill, nieces and nephews, Anthony J. Mango III and wife Lisa, Danielle N. Mango, Jeanne M. Mango, Lawrence J. Mango Jr. (also Godson), Clarissa K. Mango, Felicia A. Banks and Matthew J. Banks Jr., a great-nephew, Anthony J. Mango IV, and a special friend, Paul Breese.
A Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, June 7, at 10:30 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, Main Street, Hoosick Falls. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy.
Relatives and friends were invited to visitation on Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:15 am in the Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter or to the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home, 72 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090.
