New Lebanon High School Valedictorian Meredith Lukas

Meredith Lukas was named Valedictorian of the New Lebanon Junior-Senior High School Class of 2011. Meredith is the daughter of Carol and Randolph Lukas of New Lebanon.

amount of noteworthy accomplishments. Along with Meredith’s outstanding academic record, she has participated in varsity level basketball, soccer and gymnastics. Meredith is the chapter president of National Honor Society, Secretary of Student Government, Vice President of Senior Choir, Secretary of the Senior/Jazz Bands, Editor in Chief of the Yearbook Club, Treasurer of Young Artists for Humanity and a member of the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Club. Meredith is also heavily involved within the community through the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York and service projects through St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church; this includes Youth Missions to both Ireland and Peru.
Meredith has also been rewarded for all of her accomplishments with several recognitions having to do with academics, good character and community service.
Meredith will be attending Fordham University in the Bronx, NY, in the fall.
