The Wyomanock Center for Sustainable Living will present the first annual WyoFest on Saturday, June 25, from 11 am to 6 pm, held at Wyomanock Farm on Wyomanock Road ½ mile west of NY Rt. 22 in Stephentown.
The Wyomanock Center’s mission is to further our understanding of sustainable living by hosting classes, events and demonstrations in areas such as natural building, renewable energy, community building and relocalization, agriculture, nature study and skills that foster self sufficiency and resilience.
WyoFest brings many of these components together in a one day festival where you can attend various workshops and demonstrations in some of these topic areas. Music will be provided by two performance groups, HuDost at 1 pm and the Kripalu based KDZ drummers at 3:30. Food featuring locally sourced produce will also be available. For more information, including admission and a schedule of workshops, see our website WyoCenter.org.
Film On The Plight Of The Honeybee
WyoFest will be preceded by a film screening of the new release, “Queen of the Sun,” at the Stephentown Library, 472 Rt. 43, on June 23 at 6:45 pm. “Queen of the Sun” details the plight of the honeybee “and what they are telling us.”
