Community Garden In Hoosick Falls

The Immaculate Conception Church and the Hoosick Falls Girl Scouts have joined together to start a community garden. The garden is located at the corner of Main Street next to Immaculate Conception. The land for the garden belongs to Immaculate Conception Church. Father Tom Zelker, master gardener, offered to start the garden. The land was tilled, and the girls went to town planting. McNeilly’s Greenhouse and Moses Farm Stand kindly donated vegetable plants. The vegetables are growing, and soon there will be tomatoes and peppers galore. This garden is open to everyone. If you are walking or driving by and are in need of vegetables, stop in and pick what you need. All we ask is you only take what you will use and if you see weeds, pull them please! Please share in this community garden by picking and weeding and enjoying a fresh, healthy vegetable this summer.
