Mark Rust Family Show
Mark Rust, a multi-talented performer from Woodstock, will give a free concert for the entire family at the Everett Wager Senior Center, 2 Roxborough Road, on Thursday, July 7, at 7 pm. This show is entertaining, interactive, and educational for all ages.
The show includes, “My Family’s Musical Traditions,” a fun collection of songs on a variety of instruments including banjo, fiddle, hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer and spoons. The audience is involved in some fun way on every tune.
A hands-on, group workshop follows, where Rust teaches everyone how to play the spoons. Anyone can do it! When everyone has the hang of it, the group will play along with fiddle tunes, ending with a great, group spoons solo. Finally, Rust will teach some traditional American country dances that are fun, easy to learn and require no experience.
