On Friday, July 1, Rev. Thomas Zelker, Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls, lent his talents to the Ice Kreme Kafe on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. He scooped ice cream, made cones (of a sort, even if they were lop-sided) of soft-service ice cream to benefit the local food pantry. Owners, Kevin and Karen O’Malley donated half the profits from sales during Fr. Tom’s “shift” to the Hoosick Area Church Association Food Pantry. Over $700 was raised in donations and profits to assist in feeding local families!
