The Little Hoosic Watershed Association announced that the Association is offering grants of up to $200 to assist landowners who are attempting to reduce stream bank erosion and improve flood control in or on the banks of the Little Hoosic River. The funds are available to assist either with planting a bank to alleviate an existing erosion problem or replanting a bank following completion of a project that removes vegetation. Four grants are available in 2011.
If you are interested in applying for a grant, contact Len Clapp, President, or Tim Allen, Vice President for an application and additional information. As always, if you have questions about governmental regulations related to work in or on the banks of the river or would like assistance with completing a permit application, please contact a Board member.
