Checks from the Edith Craig Reynolds Foundation were given to local organizations in the Town of Hoosick on June 23 at 7 pm at the Town of Hoosick Historical Association.
The checks were from the Rev. Edith Craig Reynolds Residual Fund administered by Key Bank Trust and channeled through the Reynolds Foundation.
Before presenting the checks totaling $12,622, Hoosick Town Historian Phil Leonard reviewed the life of Rev. Reynolds.
The following grants were approved and distributed by the Reynolds Board to organization representatives: St. Mary’s Academy (Marilyn Douglas), Hoosick Area youth Center and Community Coalition (Aelish Nealon), Cheney Library Children’s Reading Program (Carol Gaillard), Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Day Camp, Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Service Program (Joyce, Samantha and Anna Brewer), Hoosick Area Church Association Food Pantry (Dianne Hosterman), Town of Hoosick Historical Society (Phil Leonard), Town of Hoosick Community Band (Bill Gaillard).
Members of the Reynolds Foundation are Robert Becker, Norma Brenenstuhl, James Monahan, Armand Rousseau and William Shiland, Sr.
