The Stephentown Historical Society’s 30th Annual Strawberry Festival, held at The Berry Patch on Sunday, June 26, featured strawberry shortcake with freshly picked strawberries, ice cream and homemade biscuits. Volunteers provided homemade strawberry rhubarb pies that were sold as a whole pie or by the slice. Volunteers also picked 214 pounds of berries on Thursday night between the thunder storms, and yet more volunteers spent a good part of Friday hulling and cleaning.
The good weather made for a successful event with a lot of happy customers

and sales were up slightly from last year.
Coordinators of the event Lorri Parisi, Linda Sullivan, Tammy Madden, Pat Flint and SHS President Marilyn Osgood wish to thank all the volunteers as well as the corporate sponsors: Stewart’s Shops, Price Chopper, PriceRite, Gardner’s Ice Cream Shoppe, the Berry Patch and the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department for their contributions.
