Stephentown Library July Events

• Saturday, July 9, – Rhonda’s Reptiles with Rhonda Leavitt at 1 pm. Rhonda Leavitt will bring an assortment of fascinating reptiles and explain their value to our world. This is a great show for the whole family. Also enjoy our Annual Book Festival which will have great books, homemade food, a Chinese auction, local artisans and more from 9 am to 3 pm.
• Tuesday, July 12, – Animals Around the Globe at 10:30 am. Local wildlife educator Bernadette Hoffman will bring a variety of pelts, skulls, antlers and more along with stories and facts about a variety of animals. Taped recordings of animal voices will also be played. Join us as we learn about many varieties of animals and their place in the natural world. There will also be live animals to touch and experience. This is a wonderful family event that both adults and children will find most interesting. Reservations are requested.
• Tuesday, July 19, – World Passport: A Musical Journey Around the Globe at 10:30 am. Grab your boarding passes and travel around the world with the award winning musical storytelling duo, Tales ‘n Tunes. This sing-along, highly interactive program will take us to many countries. Reservations are requested.
• Wednesday, July 20, – The Sites, the Sounds and the Stories of Scotland at 1:30 pm. Come join a bairns (children’s) program that will explore the magical world of Scotland, from the sounds of the pipes to the grandeur of the kilt to the stories of a nation. See pictures of castles, Loch Ness and more. Come and take part in activities including tossing the caber, listen to a story, and hear the music of Scotland. Dancing in the isle is appreciated! Reservations are requested.
