The Berlin Library’s Annual Book, Bake And Boutique Fund-Raiser

July 29, 2011 By eastwickpress

Boy Scout Troop 222 met at the Berlin Free Town Library to help with the upcoming Book, Bake and Boutique Fund-Raiser.  The young men, who will enter grades 6-9 at Berlin Central this fall, braved bee stings and the Library dungeon to haul hundreds of books for the annual fund-raiser.  The sale will take place on Saturday, August 20, from 9 am to 1 pm.

Donations Of Books Needed
The Library Board asks for donations of new or gently used books (no encyclopedias or textbooks, please) and items for the boutique. Boutique donations might include dishes, jewelry, fine hand knits, baskets, wooden ware or other items that are no longer quite right for your home.
A special fund-raiser preview sale will take place on Friday, August 19, from 6 to 8 pm. The Library Trustees will provide refreshments. Tickets for the preview party cost $15 and can be purchased at the Library. Community members are invited to support the Library by donating to the Book, Bake and Boutique sale, by purchasing tickets for the preview party, by purchasing items at the sale or by making a cash donation.
