Book, Bake And Boutique At The Berlin Library

August 5, 2011 By eastwickpress

A red, white, and blue coverlet, made in the 1800s, is one of the donations that will be available at the Book, Bake and Boutique fund-raiser at the Berlin Free Town Library. The sale will take place at the Library on Saturday, August 20, from 9 am to 1 pm.
The Library Board asks for your support through donations of new or gently used books (no textbooks or encyclopedias, please), items for the bake sale or items for the boutique. Book donations should be made by August 12. Please donate only when the Library is open so that items are not damaged by rainy weather.
The Library has long held a Book and Bake sale in August; in recent years, the Friends of the Library organization (now retired) expanded the sale by adding the Boutique and Preview Party which not only showcased local artists’ work but also increased revenues for our largest fund-raiser of the year.
The preview party (refreshments provided) will be held on August 19 from 6 to 8 pm. Tickets for the preview are available at the Library for $15.
