Participants from near and far came out to show their support for the 2011 Coach Ken Baker Fund Sports Weekend. The weekend consisted of youth, teen and adult 3 on 3 basketball tournaments on Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19, and an open format golf scramble held at the Hoosick Falls Country Club on June 19. Through the generosity of area business, individuals, organizations and friends, the committee is happy to announce that this was the most successful year yet for these events!

Golf Tournament And Auctions
For the first year since the tournament began in 2008, the sun was shining brightly, and there was not a drop of rain to report during the Fourth Annual Ken Baker Memorial Golf Tournament held on Saturday, June 19, at the Hoosick Falls Country Club.
Over 120 golfers hit the links to show their support for the Coach Baker Fund. The morning and afternoon flights boasted full rosters of golfers of all skill levels who came ready to come closest to the pin, have the farthest drive or maybe even register a hole in one. At the end of the day it was the team of Wysocki, Rice, Mather and Hyde that was the overall net winner for the day followed by the very close second place team of Atherton, Sparks, Eastman and Hickey.
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners of the silent and Chinese auction as well as a live auction led by master auctioneer Ron Seifert, who in his usual fashion got the crowd raising their hands to bid on an array of amazing items that included vacation rentals in Key West and Vermont, paintings by Mrs. Ann Baker, John Richards and Roxanne Hilsman, sports tickets and more.
The lucky winner of the 55” Visio® LED/LCD television raffle was David Harrison from Hoosick Falls.
In addition to our many supporters we would also like to offer a special thanks to Sustainer Sponsors SuttonScapes and Dr. Marcus Martinez and Family and especially Mike Baratto for all of his hard work and dedication in coordinating this event year after year.
