County Veterans Hall Still Seeking Donations

The Schaghticoke Fair Fund-Raising Committee is continuing its efforts to convert a section of the Freihofer’s Building at the Fairgrounds into a Veterans Hall. They are seeking donations to purchase one more flagpole to place in front of the current Freihofer’s Building – for a total of six – one for each branch of the service and one for the American flag. We have funds for five. The Committee thanks the community  for its help thus far.
We would like to purchase stools, two pieces of 911 artwork, storage cabinets, display cases and wood boards to make a counter for our display area. We are creating a display of pictures of local memorials from Rensselaer County. This project has just gotten under way and with interest from the community will hopefully go forward. Also, any military information or pictures would be appreciated and could be copied or photographed from the originals.
