Come kick up your heels to live fiddle music! Join Homespun Community Dancing with Peter, Paul and George at the Grafton Elementary School on Monday, August 15, at 10 am to enjoy a tradition of community dancing and music handed down from generation to generation. Caller Paul Rosenberg gets everyone involved – from ages 2 to 102 – in easy to learn American barn dance favorites – circles, squares, contras as well as folk dances from places around the world. No experience is necessary.
Instruments in a family dance may include fiddle, banjo, mandolin, flute, penny whistle, clarinet, guitar, piano, recorder, accordion, dulcimer, percussion and more. While participation in the dancing is encouraged – and it’s hard to sit still – it’s also fun to just listen to the music.

This program, sponsored by the Grafton Community Library, is made possible in part through a Community Art$ Grant, a program funded by The Arts Center of the Capital Region through the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
