August 26, 2011 By eastwickpress

The 12th Annual Karen McGovern Memorial Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament will be held September 10 at the Sand Bar on Lyman Street in Hoosick Falls.
Registration will begin at 9 am and play will start shortly thereafter. A round robin format will be played in both Division A (competitive) and Division B (recreational) players. Glass mugs will be awarded to members of the winning teams in both divisions, and the Division A team’s name will be engraved on the permanent plaque maintained at the Sand Bar. There will be free T-shirts for all players.
The entry fee per team is $150 and non-players are asked to make a $25 donation to the fund. All proceeds from the day are used to help local residents battling cancer and other serious illnesses. Food, keg beer and music will be provided throughout the day. Call 518-686-9371 to reserve a spot for your team. Join us for a day to remember our friend, Karen.
