Berlin Cross-Country started the season out strong at the Blackbird Invitational Saturday. The Varsity Boys did a good job, leading with Alex French in 12th place, Dan VonSchilgen in 15th, Erik Viner in 16th, Connor Brown in 17th, Connor Hoyt in 27th, Evan Dawes in 33rd and Doug Hoard in 45th among a field of 97 athletes. This gave the boys a strong 2nd place finish. JV Boys had Isaac Share in 1st, James Wagner in 2nd, Brad Hoyt in 3rd, Tyler Purdy in 12th and Cole MacVeigh in 17th for a 1st place team.
