Fall Events At Grafton Lakes State Park

September 24, Saturday – Foliage Hike. Join us in this tour through the amazing autumn colors on the Rensselaer Plateau. Call 518-279-1155 to register. Free Program offered by Friends of Grafton Lakes State Park.
September 25, Sunday – 25th Annual Barge Chaser Canoe and Kayak Race. Registration is at 9:30 am. The race starts at 10:30 am. Bring a potluck dish to enjoy after the race. Barge Chaser entry fee is $10 per person.
September 25, Sunday – Nature Hike at 2 pm.  Explore  the woods and learn about the wildlife and the landscape and learn some local history. The fee is $2 per person.  Call 518-279-1155 to register.
October 
October 8, Saturday – Trick or Treat Nature Trail at 4:30 pm.  Ages 5-10 come and trick or treat while enjoying nature at the same time!  The fee is $2 per person. Call 658-9144 to confirm.
October 28, Friday – Star watch at GLSP 6:30 pm.  Join with members of the Albany Area  Astronomers and explore the night sky. The group meets at the Deerfield pavilion. The rain date is September 29. Call 658-9144 to confirm.  This is a free program.
October 31, Monday – Cemetery Walk and Ghost Stories 6 pm.  Come enjoy a night full of haunting experiences and stories. Come if you dare! The fee is $2 per person. Call 658-9144 to confirm.
November  
November 4, Friday – Star Watch at GLSP at 6:30 pm. Join with members of the Albany Area  Astronomers and explore the night sky.  The group meets at the Deerfield pavilion .  The rain date is November 5. Call 658-9144 to confirm.  This is a free program.
November 12, Saturday – Full Moon Night Hike 5:30 pm.  Explore the woods by moonlight and learn about those creatures that are active in the Park at night.  The fee is $2 per person. Call 518-279-1155 to register.
