September 30, 2011 By eastwickpress

New Port Richey  – Geraldine Isibell (Richard) Spier, 93, passed into eternal life on September 8, 2011, with her daughters at her side.
Geri was born in Buffalo, NY, and lived and schooled in Syracuse. She was pre-deceased by her husband of over 71 years, Wilbert (Bill) Spier, in October, 2008.
Geri was a talented lady whose greatest accomplishments were her sewing abilities.  Her works of perfection began when her family was started and continued all through her life.   She enjoyed playing the piano/organ and also enjoyed oil painting and travel. She and her husband had traveled the world, and then traveled extensively in their motor coaches throughout the United States, accompanied by their beloved dog, Lucky.
Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy “Dottie” Spier Cross of Johnsonville, NY, and Joan Spier Higham, of New Port Richey, FL.  Geri had four grandchildren, Ronald, Craig and Kimberlee (Mulready) Colvin and David Fillingham. She also had nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Geri’s daughters would like to send a special thank you to the HPH Hospice Team for their encouragement, support and care.
There will be no formal funeral arrangements, and anyone wishing to donate in Geri’s memory is welcome to donate to the HPH Hospice Foundation, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL, 34667, or the American Cancer Society.
