The Town of Grafton will be holding a memorial service at the Town Park on Sunday, September 11, at 1 pm in observance of the ten year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Members of the Grafton Fire Company, Grafton Rescue Squad, Grafton VFW Post and local Clergy will be participating in the observance. Kelly Paslow, Director of Rensselaer Public Safety who volunteered at Ground Zero at the World Trade Center site, will be the guest speaker.
Grafton Supervisor Tyler F. Sawyer said, “I hope people will take the time to attend this observance. We cannot and will not forget the attacks on our country that day. We cannot forget the loss of the thousands of our citizens and the emergency personnel that tried to save them.”
After the memorial service, people attending are invited to the Everett Wagar Senior Center to further reflect on that day. Light refreshments will be available.
