Hoosick Grange News

September 26, 2011 By eastwickpress

Hoosick Grange met on September 8 at Center Brunswick Grange. It was installation of Center Brunswick Grange and Hoosick Grange. It was a great meeting with over 50 Grangers present. The Albany County Installation Team with Master Robert Payne did the installing of the Grangers. The New York State Master, Mr. Stephen Coye, was there and was pianist for the evening. Many Grangers were recognized with certificates and star seals for years in the Grange. Brunswick had several new members installed. Refreshments were served after the meeting.
Hoosick Grange regular meeting was on September 14. It was a planning meeting for the year. We had many different ideas for programs and setting up refreshments for the year. The Lecturer presented the Master with the First Place Blue Ribbon from the Schaghticoke Fair, and she thanked everyone who helped with it. The Master congratulated everyone who helped with the fair. Our next meeting is on September 28 with Norma Brenenstuhl in charge of the program and Marion Cipperly in charge of refreshments.
We had delicious ice cream sundaes after the meeting. Martha Babbitt was in charge.
