Laura H. Lohnes

Hoosick Falls – Laura H. Lohnes, 102, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center in Hoosick Falls, NY, with her loving family at her side.
Born on April 7, 1909, in Hoosick Falls, Laura was the daughter of the late William and Laura (Shaw) Webster. She graduated from Blanca High School in Blanca, CO. Laura was the wife of the late Carroll Lohnes, whom she married on February 5, 1928; he passed away on February 21, 1969. Laura was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Hoosick, NY. She enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles and traveling.
Survivors include her son, Edward D. Lohnes and wife Wanda of Canon City, CO, her daughter-in-law, Susan Lohnes of Hoosick, her grandchildren, Kenneth and Michael Lohnes of Canon City and Carol MacDonald and Gary Lohnes of Hoosick, four great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Laura is pre-deceased by her son, Robert W. Lohnes, and three sisters, Viola Martin, Carolyn Young and Marion Lohnes.
Services will be held at the Holt Family Funeral Home in Canon City at the convenience of the family. Local arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoosick Falls Health Center, 21 Danforth Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090.
