The Berlin boys and girls cross country teams hosted Tamarac and Emma Willard this week in Wasaren League Competition. The girls team fell 33-26 to Emma Willard and defeated an incomplete Tamarac team. Kailey Corrado led the Lady Mountaineers with a second place finish in 24:50. Brittany Dickhaus took sixth, Hailey Styer tenth, Anne Marie Gerdan 18th, Danielle Jones 19th and Erika Pelletier 20th place.
On the boys’ side, the Mountaineers took second through tenth places en route to an easy victory. Twelve of Berlin’s fourteen runners all finished before Tamarac’s second runner came in. Alex French led the way, followed by Connor Hoyt, Connor Brown, Eric Viner, Dan Von Schilgen, Evan Dawes, Doug Hoard, Rocco Farano, Brad Hoyt, James Wagner, Travis Riccardi, Isaac Coffee, Tyler Purdy and Cole MacVeigh. The team competes this weekend at the Grout Invitational in Schenectady.
