Propane Storage Tank Placement On River Street Approved

On Tuesday evening, September 13, the Hoosick Falls Zoning Board approved the placement of a 400 gallon propane storage tank on the property and residence of Carlton Coon at 71 River Street. Coon was given a variance for a residential area, renewable in three years. Tanks are to be filled from the storage tank during normal business hours.
Coon stipulated he will only be filling 100 gallon tanks for the 150 to 200 customers he already has. Having the storage tank on his property is a convenience for him. The eight foot long by eight foot wide tank will be fenced in and offers no safety hazards.
