Sadie E. Pleasant

West Hoosick – Sadie E. Pleasant, 95, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at the Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center in Bennington, VT. She had resided on the Buskirk/West Hoosick Road in West Hoosick, NY, and was the wife of the late Harold Pleasant, who died on June 18, 2011.
Born on February 7, 1916, in Shaftsbury, VT, Sadie was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Lamb) Peters. She attended schools in Shaftsbury and was employed at the Flint & Robinson Manufacturing Company in Bennington, retiring thirty years ago.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret O’Dell of West Hoosick and Lillian LaRosa of Salem, NH, her son, Richard Pleasant of California, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 17, at 11 am from the West Hoosick Baptist Church on the Buskirk/West Hoosick Road. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 10 am until the start of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the West Hoosick Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090, who are handling the arrangements.
