The Second Annual Berlin Community Harvest Bazaar, a benefit for the Berlin Community Food Closet, will be held on Sunday, October 30, from 1 to 4 pm at the Berlin Seventh Day Baptist Church on North Main Street. The event will feature children’s crafts, children’s games (with guaranteed prizes), a cookie walk and seasonal refreshments such as apple cider donuts, hot chocolate and caramel popcorn. Several local businesses will have tables at the event, including Bee A Little Pure (all natural soaps), Mama Sew Simple (hand-sewn items), Mapledale Farms (artisan cheeses) and more. Representatives from Avon, Mary Kay, PartyLight, Premier Designs Jewelry and Tastefully Simple also will be present. A Chinese Auction will held with several items up for grabs, including a set of all natural hand soaps from Chefs Planet, two gift certificates for LP Gas from Broken Wheel Campground and a gift certificate from Eagle Energy for 100 gallons of free #2 fuel oil.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Berlin Community Food Closet (BCFC). Housed in the Berlin Seventh Day Baptist Church’s Max Hall building, the BCFC provides essential food items to local families in need.
