Friends of the Dyken Pond Center are invited to the annual membership meeting on Monday, October 24, at 7 pm at the Rensselaer County Agricultural and Life Science Building in Troy. The agenda for the annual meeting includes:
• Summary of the past year’s activities and accomplishments, including our purchase of the Newcomb Pond property near the Center;
• Financial report;
• Vote for new terms for directors;
• Comments and ideas from our members.
The annual meeting is an opportunity to meet the Directors and other Friends members.  We on the Board of Directors look forward to hearing from the people who care about Dyken Pond Center. Refreshments will be served.
We are also calling for new members of our Board of Directors and for volunteers to help us with our activities. If you would like to spend a few hours a month helping plan activities and set direction for the Friends or if you would like to spend a few hours each year helping to put on one of our programs or put together our newsletter, please contact Jim Bonesteel, President of the Friends, at jim@bonesteel.com or 766-5354 or contact the Center at dykenpond@taconic.net or 658-2055.
