Jeanne M. Capano

Hoosick Falls – Jeanne M. Capano, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at the Danforth Adult Home in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was the wife of the late John Capano, who died on August 25 of this year.
Born on October 30, 1929, in Troy, NY, Jeanne was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Waters) Murphy. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls. Jeanne worked at the family business, Capano’s Market, in Hoosick Falls for years. She was a member of the Hoosick Falls Country Club, where she enjoyed golf for many years. Jeanne was  also a member of the Hoosick Falls Health Center Auxiliary, the Catholic Daughters of America and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, all in Hoosick Falls.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Jeanne is also pre-deceased by her son, Alan Capano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, November 12, at the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Academy through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, who are handling the arrangements.
