Caroline C. Drake

Hoosick – Caroline C. Drake, formerly of Bovie Hill in Hoosick, NY, died peacefully November 2, 2011, at The Centers For Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT. Miss Drake was born in Hoosick Falls on March 22, 1915; she was the daughter of Henry and Mary (Bovie) Drake. She was a pioneering, intelligent  and independent woman. She earned  multiple Masters Degrees from  Notre Dame. She was a Medical Librarian at the Sterling Winthrop Research Institute in Rensselaer, NY. After retiring from there she became a Medical Librarian at R.P.I.  She traveled throughout the world, and upon her return she lectured at many colleges and universities.
She leaves her cousins.
Private services will be held in the Hoosick Rural Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Bennington.
