Cora V. Morgan

Bennington – Mrs. Cora V.  Morgan, 87, a resident of River Street, Bennington, VT, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday November 2, 2011. Mrs. Morgan was born in Center Shaftsbury, VT, on October 22, 1924. She was the last surviving of ten children born to Myron and Leona McDonald. She grew up in Shaftsbury, where she attend local schools. In earlier years she had worked at the Nancy Shoe Company in Hoosick Falls, NY, Ben Mont Paper, Thomson’s Manufacturing and Sibley Machine Shop.  Being from a large family, her home and grandchildren were her main interests.
She leaves her daughters, Marion Campbell and Marilyn Morgan both of Bennington, her grandchildren, Art Campbell Jr. and wife Wendy, Milo Campbell, Penny Taylor and fiance Albert Parsakian, Jean Campbell, Michael Campbell and wife Allie, Eric LaFlamme and Steve LaFlamme, her great-grandchildren, Courtney Campbell, Jade Taylor, James Taylor Jr., Carter Campbell, Kyleigh Campbell, Mac Campbell, Eric LaFlamme Jr. and Hunter Williams, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is pre-deceased by  a son, Edward “Butch” Morgan Jr., and siblings, Charles, Murman, John, Lester, Fred McDonald, Mary Funk, Elizabeth Rumbolt, Georgianna Gravelle and Eva Lake.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 7, at 11 am at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home with Reverend Nancy Wright, pastor of the Shaftsbury United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial followed in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends called at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm with the family present. Memorial gifts may be made to the family, payable to Marion Campbell, in care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT, 05201.
