Debra L. Anthony

Galway – Debra L. Anthony, 52, of Galway, NY, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011. Born in Cambridge, NY, April 25, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian Elwell. Debbie was a teacher’s aide at Joseph Henry Elementary School in Galway. She was a caregiver and helped many children and elderly people in the area. Debbie and her family were close knit, and she enjoyed family gatherings.
She is pre-deceased by a brother, Ernest Bruno, and a niece, Julie Elwell. Debbie is survived by her son, Dane Elwell, her sister, Jeanette Phillips and husband George of Petersburgh, NY, three brothers, Ron Elwell of Greenwich, NY, Robert Elwell and wife Karen of White Creek, NY, and Albert Elwell and wife Carol of Rock City Falls, NY, as well as several nieces, nephews and loving cousins.
Relatives and friends were invited to call on Thursday, November 10, from 11 am to 1 pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc. in Ballston Spa, NY. A funeral service followed at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Middle Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, P.O. Box 13535, Albany, NY, 12212.
