Absentee ballots were counted late Monday afternoon in the Grafton Town Council Race. The unofficial tally on Tuesday afternoon stood at Messenger 459, Ungaro 439, Gundrum 412 and Fredricks 378. There may be one or two more absentee ballots, and two votes were challenged, but these will not be enough to change the outcome. Rick Ungaro, whose election was not a mathematical certainty on November 8, will replace Ed Fredricks on the Grafton Board.
