Alyce Florence O’Neill

Hoosick Falls – Alyce Florence O’Neill, 62, a resident of Easy Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, and formerly of Waterbury, CT, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Waterbury on October 9, 1949, Alyce was the daughter of William and Alyce (Bergamo) O’Neill. She attended Crosby High School in Waterbury and earned her GED at the age of thirty-five and was very proud of that achievement. After attending Mattatuck Community College she worked for twenty years as a senior accounting clerk for Osram-Sylvania at their Watertown plant.
Alyce was an avid reader and was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Hoosick Falls Garden Club. She enjoyed going on car trips with her friends and cherished times spent with her family, especially her twin grandsons.
Alyce is survived by her daughter, Tracey Fitzpatrick of Hoosick Falls, her twin grandsons, Devon and Ryan Fitzpatrick of Hoosick Falls, her brothers, William, Richard and Peter O’Neill of Connecticut, and her sisters, Judith O’Neill, Mary Verdosci and her twin sister Rita O’Donnell, all of Connecticut.
A Memorial Mass for Alyce will be held on January 7, 2012, at 10:30 am at Lords of Litchfield Shrine in Litchfield, CT. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the Mass at the Shrine, and all in attendance are welcome to attend. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Alyce’s memory may be made to the HACA Food Closet in Hoosick Falls, c/o Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, P.O. Box 957, Bennington, VT, 05201. The family has entrusted arrangements to the care of Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington.
