Books Donated In Memory Of Els Murray

December 22, 2011 By eastwickpress

submitted by Nan Lance
The Stephanie Flint Book Club has donated four books to the Berlin Library in memory of their friend and member, Els Murray, who died this past summer. Els Murray loved weaving and the Netherlands, so two adult books and two children’s books about these topics were chosen by the Book Club.

Culture and Customs of the Netherlands by John B. Roney and Small Loom and Freeform Weaving by Barbara Matthiessen were the adult selections. The European Union: Political, Social, and Economic Cooperation – The Netherlands by Heather Docalavich and Kids Weaving by Sarah Swett will be found in the children’s section of the Library. The Stephanie Flint Book Club hopes these contributions to the Berlin Library and the Upper Hudson Library Federation will help people learn about the Netherlands and weaving and acknowledge the love and respect they felt for a wonderful person, Els Murray.
