Kayleigh Corrado, daughter of Jodi and Richard Corrado of Cherry Plain, has been selected by the Berlin High School faculty and senior class as the DAR Good Citizen.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage society, a non-profit organization dedicated to patriotism, historic preservation and education. Kayleigh was chosen as a student who demonstrates the qualities of a good DAR citizen, namely Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism. She has been Captain of the girls Cross Country team, Corresponding Secretary for the senior class and has taken a leadership role in Red Cross Blood Drives. Kayleigh wrote an essay for the DAR award in which she expressed concern about whether we might be losing our sense of patriotism.
