December 2, 2011 By eastwickpress

The Hoosick Falls bowling team started the 2011-2012 season with a good win on the road at Hoosic Valley by the score of 4-0.  Hoosick Falls had a match total of 3,614 pins to Hoosic Valley’s total of 3,157. The top bowler for Hoosic Valley was Tatios Barkaman with a 252-636.  Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Joe Wolfrum 247-643, Josh Conn 258-615, Bryan Callahan 237-606, Mikaela Marbot 235-590, Ken Marbot 213-581 and Josh McCart 269-579. The J.V. team also had some good scores – Mitch Andrew 225-632, Charlie Stowell 213-579 and Stephen Surdam 201-557.
“This was a very good start to the season. You never know how the first match will go especially on away lanes. The team did a good job finding their line and made most of their spares. Each varsity bowler had a least one big game to help the team win a game. I’m very pleased with our first performance,”  said Coach Lang.
