Stephentown Memorial Library Bake Sale & More

December 9, 2011 By eastwickpress

The Friends of the Stephentown Memorial Library can help you with your holiday baking and gift buying. Their magnificent Bake Sale & More! event is Saturday, December 17, at the library from 10 am to 2 pm.
Think “visions of sugar plums” and select from an outstanding display of cookies, candies, breads, pies and coffee cakes. Pick up an assorted holiday cookie tray for a hostess gift – some of the goodies might be peanut butter blossoms, snickerdoodles, chocolate truffles, Mexican wedding cookies, toffee bars, Italian cookies, rum-raisin cookies or peppermint shortbread bites. And then there is fudge in at least six flavors – chocolate, chocolate walnut, chocolate peanut butter, peanut butter, chocolate rum-raisin and coconut creme. The pie choices are pumpkin, apple and pecan. There will be holiday cakes such as cinnamon or eggnog bundt cakes. You may pre-order baked goods by December 14 to guarantee getting your favorites. Order forms are at the Library and at StephentownLibrary.org or order by phone at 518-733-5750.
The “More!” part of the event includes a large selection of gently used books, novel gifts, small antiques and other treasures to lighten your holiday shopping chores as well as a silent auction of gift baskets. You can also enjoy a delicious home cooked lunch of meatball subs or chili to eat in or take out.
The Stephentown Memorial Library, 472 NY Rt. 43, Stephentown is handicapped accessible.
