It was a great night at Hoosick Grange on December 14. The weather was good, and we had the Mennonite Singer Families, Grangers and Friends to enjoy the program. Marion Hynick introduced the group. They sang many songs, and then they asked us what we would like to sing with them. After many songs the Lecturer read the “Christmas Story According to Luke,” with Mary, Joseph and the Babe in the tableau. The Lecturer had a closing thought – May the light of Christmas shine in your heart all year and may the birth of the Christ child fill your holiday with love. Everyone sang “Jingle Bells.” The Lecturer thanked Marion and Omer Brenenstuhl for getting the ice cream and thanked Stewart’s for donating it. She thanked the Mennonites and their families for coming. They sang “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” It was time for refreshments with ice cream sundaes and lots of goodies.
The Grange’s next meeting, if the weather is good, is on January 11, at 8 pm. It will be the 104th Anniversary of Hoosick Grange. The Lecturer is in charge of the program. Martha Babbitt is in charge of refreshments.
