Hoosick Planning Board Action – Veterinary Clinic On Route 67

January 6, 2012 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson
On Monday evening, December 19, Dr. Leo J. Delaney addressed the Town of Hoosick Planning Board regarding his purchase of a 52′ by 27′ modular home with full cellar on Route 67 in Walloomsac and his plan to convert it into a Veterinary Clinic. The house is located on 2.3 acres and has parking for seven cars with a five foot turnaround. [private]There was considerable discussion as to whether the location was one or two lots. The issue was clarified with a search through old files, and the site was declared a simple subdivision. As the building is already in place, the Board easily waived several site plan review questions. Dr. Delaney will appear before the Board again next month with a map and completed application. In advance of that, the Board also waived the need for a public hearing on having a Veterinary Clinic on that site.
Cottrell Subdivision
The Board approved a request by Stacy and Ryan Callahan for a two lot family subdivision on Cottrell Road.
Meeting Date Changes
The Planning Board will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, January 23, as the previous Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Board will meet on Monday, February 27, as the previous Monday is Presidents’ Day.
Appointments
The Board unanimously reappointed Dennis King as Planning Board attorney and Karen Jennings as Planning Board secretary.[/private]
