January Events At The New Lebanon Library

The New Lebanon Library will hold the following January events. All of these events are free and will take place at the Library which is located at 550 State Route 20.
January 20 – An Evening of Jazz Standards – 6:30 pm. Music from the Great American Songbook performed by the Bronte Roman Jazz Ensemble.
January 21 – Chess Instruction for Kids – 10 am. Instruction for kids, but players of all ages and levels are welcome.
January 25 – Tales for Tots Story Hour – 10:30 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs and movement activities.
January 25 – Hug-A-Bye Babies – noon. Age appropriate stories, songs and movement activities for our youngest patrons and their caregivers.
January 26 – Bright Beginnings Story Hour and Play Group – 11 am to 2 pm. Meet other parents and care providers while your child aged one month to 5 years hears a story then socializes with other children in an unstructured, educational setting.
January 26 – Family Crafts Night – 6:30 pm. Make adorable snowman puppets. All materials provided. Suitable for the whole family.
January 27 – Coffeehouse Night – 6 pm. Features the music of singer/songwriter Linda Worster. Light refreshments will be served.
January 28 – Paws-to-Read – 9 am. Therapy dogs come to the Library, and children read to their furry friends. And, of course, the dogs listen. Please call 518-794-8844 to register.
January 30 – Swap, Not Shop! Children’s Clothing Exchange – 6:30 pm. Bring a bag of gently used, clean children’s clothing sizes 6 and up and accessories and an empty bag. After the swap, you’ll leave with a bag of “new to you” items. Any leftover items will be donated to Goodwill.
