The Petersburgh Public Library will be having a drop in craft activity between 10 am and 12 noon on Saturday, January 14. Children are invited to join us in making a shadow box to take home and use to display their treasures.
Book Group
The book Cleopatra, A Life by Stacy Schiff will be discussed at the next book discussion group on Tuesday, February 7, at 8 pm. For this month only the meeting will be at 8 pm rather than the usual 7:30 pm time. Copies of the book are available at the Library, and everyone is invited to join in the discussion.
Nook
The Library now has a Nook® which can be signed out of the library for two weeks. The Nook® has 11 books loaded onto it for your reading pleasure. The books are Red Mist by Cornwell, Lost December by Evans, Unbroken by Hillenbrand, The Best of Me by Sparks, The Affair by Child, V is for Vengeance by Grafton, Kill Alex Cross by Patterson, The Drop by Connelly, Zero Day by Baldacci, Explosive Eighteen by Evanovich and The Help by Stockett. After reading and signing the policy for the Nook®, a patron may borrow the Nook® as long as they have no outstanding fines or items overdue. The Nook® must be returned to the Library when the Library is open since it cannot be left in the book or video drop due to its fragile nature. If the Nook® is currently checked out please speak to Library staff, and they will reserve it for you to pick up when it has been returned.
Art In The Library
Artists are invited to display their artwork in the Library for a three month period. If you would be interested in scheduling an exhibition in the Library please contact Margaret Weinland or the Library staff at 658-2927.
