The Hoosick Friends of Skating Club will hold skating lesson registration on Saturday, January 14, from 9 am to 1 pm at the Reynolds-Gilchrest Skating Rink on Barton Avenue in Hoosick Falls.
The Club offers eight half-hour basic skills lessons in figure or hockey skating fundamentals following the United States Figure Skating Association’s “Skate With US” program. [private]Individuals must be five years of age or older to participate. Classes are held twice a week for four weeks on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, starting Wednesday, January 18, and continuing until Saturday, February 11.
The cost for all eight lessons is $40 for residents of the Town of Hoosick or the Village of Hoosick Falls and $50 for non-residents. Payment is due at registration. There will be a $10 discount for families with three or more registrants. A $10 late fee will be charged for all registrations after January 21.
