Animal Tracks And Traces At GLSP

February 10, 2012 By eastwickpress

Grafton Lakes State Park is hosting a Winter Recess Program, Animal Tracks and Traces, on Saturday, February 18, at 1 pm. This program will include an introduction to reading the stories left in the snow by fox, deer, rabbits and other forest dwellers along with a short hike. Come dressed for the weather and learn how to track and trace animals found at the Park.
This is a beginners’ class, ideal for children, but the whole family is welcome to come and enjoy a day together. Discover the signs that animals leave behind as they live their lives in the woods and fields of the Park. There is a $3 program fee per person including snowshoe rental; the event begins at the Park office.
For more information on “Animal Tracks and Traces,” please call the Park Naturalists at 518-279-1155. Information about Park events may also be found online at www.nysparks.com/parks.
