Dixeland jazz music, New Orleans style food and American style dishes along with Italian desserts by the D’Acchille family will be part of the Annual Mardi Gras to be held on Februray 17 at 6 pm at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall in Hoosick Falls.
The Immaculate Conception Church is a vibrant part of the Hoosick Falls Community with records

revealing the first recorded Roman Catholic Mass being celebrated in 1834 by Father J. Shanahan. Today’s structure was dedicated on December 10, 1871. Under the current leadership of Rev. Tom Zelker, the Church is open daily for all to stop in. The Parish actively supports HACA, the food pantry, St. Mary’s Academy and continues its mission to serve the needs of Hoosick Falls and the surrounding area. All proceeds from this event will be used for the Church’s daily upkeep as well as its preservation goals.
Tickets are on sale at Thorpe’s Pharmacy and at the Church Rectory. Tickets for adults cost $20; $5 for children under 18. To reserve a table as well as tickets, please call Stella at 686-5064. Doors will open at 5:30 pm. The enterntainment for the event, under the guidance of Dave Sutton, will provide the perfect setting for a great night out.
