Jayne Hanselman

Hoosick – Jayne (Lovell) Hanselman, 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at her home on Bovie Hill Road in Hoosick, NY, where she had resided with her husband Edward Hanselman. They were married in 1945 at the Rectory of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Born on January 16, 1926, in Albany, NY, Jayne was the daughter of the late William and Ida (Hall) Lovell. She graduated from the Walter A. Wood High School in the class of 1943. Jayne was a homemaker all of her life. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Her main interest throughout her life was her family and home.
Survivors include her husband, Edward, her daughters, Linda Horstmyer of Schenectady, NY, and Caroline Hanselman of New Orleans, LA, her sons, Michael Hanselman and William Hanselman both of Hoosick Falls, NY. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jayne is pre-deceased by a brother, Clarence Lovell.
A Mass of Christain Burial is being offered on Friday, February 3, at 12 noon from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090, on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Rensselaer County Community Hospice or the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
