Once again Boy Scouts from Troop 65 will be selling their homemade chili in front of the Grand Union in Hoosick from 10 am to 2 pm on Super Bowl Sunday, February 5. Treat yourself to a fresh bowl of chili complete with cornbread and all the fixin’s for only $7. All proceeds will be donated to the Northeastern NY Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
[private]In the past with your help, the Scouts have been able to collect over $ 6,500 for the cause. The Scouts will be making the donation at the annual Stairclimb at the Corning Tower in Albany. This year’s climb is on March 8, and it will be the ninth year the Scouts climb as “Tim’s Team” in memory of Tim Cuddihy who courageously battled CF. With the support of friends and family our community has always rallied to fund research to find a cure.
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease affecting the lungs and gastrointestinal system with the production of a thick mucus making it difficult to breath or to digest food properly. Along with the chili sale, donations may be made Sunday or at Upsy Daisy Flowers & Gifts, 53 Church Street, Hoosick Falls. Anybody with questions can email troop65hoosickfalls@gmail.com or call Larry Mango at 518-686-1796.[/private]
