Burn With Extreme Caution

Rifenburgh Jr., Hoosick Fire Department Chief, advises residents to use extreme caution with outdoor fires this spring “due to a lack of snow pack and the likelihood of a drier than normal spring. Additionally, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Regulation Part 215 prohibits open burning from March 15 through May 15 of each year,” he said.
