Gerald J. Seifridsberger

Hoosick – Gerald J. Seifridsberger, 71, passed away on March 21, 2012, at his residence on Windy Hill Road in Hoosick, NY. He resided there with his wife Henrietta (Smyth) Seifridsberger.
Born on May 1, 1940, in Grafton, NY, Gerald was the son of the late Peter and Josephine (Moon) Seifridsberger. He graduated from Averill Park High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Gerald was employed by the Niagara Mohawk Power Company as an Electrical Technician. He enjoyed wood turning, camping, radio controlled airplanes, ham radio, story telling and riding motorcycles.
Survivors, other than his wife Henrietta, include his daughter Cathleen Rathbun of Stephentown, NY, his sons, Everett Seifridsberger of Pittstown, NY, and Kevin Seifridsberger of West Hoosick, NY, his sisters, Josephine McQuirk and Clara Tucker and his brothers, Peter, Daniel and John Seifridsberger. Gerald is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by two brothers, Joseph and Paul Seifridsberger.
Funeral services were Friday, March 23, at 10 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Committal services were at 1:30 pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon/Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad or the West Hoosick Fire Department through the funeral home.
